Sandrine Holt was born Sandrine Ho on 19 November 1972 in London. Her birthplace was in London, to her Chinese mother and French father. At the age of five and her family left Chinese to Canada. Prior to becoming an actor she modeled as a model in Paris as a model on the catwalk. In the 1991 film Black Robe, she made her debut in film as Annuka. In this role, she received nominations to win The Genie Award the Canadian Oscar. The film Rapa Nui Rise in Paradise The Legend of Pocahontas and Dance with the Murderer followed and she also made guest performances on Poltergeist The Uncanny Force and Outer Limits The Unknown Dimension. For John Woo s The Thief she played a major role in the development of the series over 22 episodes. In 2004, the movie Starship Troopers 2 Hero of the Federation was released, and can be seen only on DVDVHS as well as Resident Evil Apocalypse was released. In 2006, she was able to be offered a more prominent character in 24 - Twenty Four and Runaway. Holt made a few guest appearances in series as well as smaller roles in films. Holt landed a lead part for Hostages (2013). Hostages (2013) as well as was a character supporting on Netflix's House of Cards. The role she played was Julie Han, in the US remake The Returned (2015) and she was cast as Bethany Exner.
